This workshop resulted in the project “ODDLINGS” which is a collection of three intriguing, playful and quirky doll clothes that aims to transform the Barbie doll both physically and imaginatively, and suggest alternative play possibilities. The workshop was conducted with 8-10 year olds for 1 hour at Vandalorum Museum, Värnamo. The children designed Barbie’s clothes that enable the dolls to do things they aren’t able to do otherwise. The workshop was conducted to get children’s views and ideas on doll clothes that aim to break out of the stereotypical fashion-centric trends in doll clothes. It combines new forms and ideas with a doll that has existed for decades.
